WiMax Stats Revisited: Still Awaiting the Tipping Points

At the end of March 2008, Maravedis' WiMAXCounts research logged nearly 2 million broadband wireless access/WiMAX subscribers. By the end of June 2008, the number was over 2.3 million. Subscriber quarter-to-quarter growth was 19% from Q1 to Q2 2008. With a residential monthly ARPU of US$ 46.87, and business ARPU of $135.30, this subscriber base generated estimated quarterly revenues of US$ 426 million, an increase of 21.20% with respect to the previous quarter. more…
